  1. Forever Star

Losing someone is one of the most intense experiences as a human being. In my quest to make sense of it all, my wise friend tells me that when someone departs this lifetime, it means their job here is done. There are many examples that leave more questions than answers, but I find comfort in this concept.

A close friend knew her time was coming , and she asked me to write something to be played at her memorial. What an incredible honor to be asked to create music to celebrate and commemorate a lifetime, and what a wise soul to be able to prepare for such a moment in advance. I accepted, and asked for more guidance to be able to create what she wanted. She told me I would know exactly what to write.

This song FOREVER STAR was the first to be recorded on the record READY FOR WHAT I CAME HERE FOR, and is the last in the track order. It's just the way it turned out.

May this tribute to my dear friend bring you comfort and peace. From my heart to yours, and for all the forever stars xo

Lyrics

FOREVER STAR

INTRO

A FOREVER STAR
Emblazoned in the sky
A melody
Within the symphony of our lives
Reminding us how beautiful it is
To be the light

Journeys end
And seasons come and go
Everything and nothing is the same
It brings me comfort when I close my eyes
For there’s a place
Your wisdom flows

And you
You’ll always live within me
With every breath
My heart is in tune
With all the love you have to give
All the souls you touch
We’ll find a way to make it through
As I know you’ll want us to
Oh, Lou

INSTRUMENTAL

And you
You’ll always live within me
With every breath
My heart is in tune
With all the love you have to give
All the souls you touch
We’ll find a way to make it through
As I know you’ll want us to
Oh, Lou

A FOREVER STAR
Emblazoned in the sky
A melody
Within the symphony of our lives
Reminding us how beautiful it is
To be the light

And you
You’ll always live within me
With every beat
My heart is in tune
With all the love you have to give
All the souls you touch
We’re making it through
As I know you’ll want us to
Oh, Lou
