Enjoy a Concert and Conversation event at Whitsunday Sailing Club in Airlie Beach as we celebrate exquisite Australian songwriters.
Be treated to an intimate performance from nationally recognized professional songwriters as they are interviewed by AIR Award nominated songwriter and Whitsundays local Karen Jacobsen then perform a song from their catalog. A feature of past years has been the performance of a brand new song written literally the day before in our residency.
Writing new songs as part of the Whitsundays Songwriter Festival professional residency, co-founders Karen Jacobsen and Francesca de Valence will take you behind the scenes as all songwriters share insights about their creative process and careers. This is a not-to-be-missed inspiring opportunity to get up close to some of the world’s most dynamic songwriters and artists right here in the Whitsundays. Past years have featured Wendy Matthews, Toni Childs, Vika & Linda, Mark Sholtez, Leanne Tennant (LT), Graeme Connors, Tia Gostelow, Johnny Manuel and Jude York.
$65 This event has strictly limited seats. Please arrive from 5.45pm for general admission seating. Meals can be enjoyed in the Whitsunday Sailing Club Bar & Restaurant before and after the event. Drinks can be purchased throughout the evening.
