Beginning as Third Carpenter on the Judas Priest U.S. Tour and rising the ranks quickly, Connecticut born Tom Hudak was part of the team that built the Purple Rain set on the legendary Prince tour, and has worked with artists as diverse as Madonna, Mariah Carey, Backstreet Boys, Luther Vandross, Air Supply, Lou Reed, Lionel Richie, M C Hammer, Julio Iglesias, Supertramp, Shakira and Maroon 5.

Sleep When You Can is a fascinating look at the world of music touring, in the years when major performances were first entering Asia, Russia and South America. A behind the scenes book like no other, the stories  will make you feel as if you were there.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Tom Hudak is a Production Manager and Logistics Professional who has worked in the entertainment industry since the late 70's. Traveling the globe overseeing teams of hundreds of people and tens of thousands of attendees, he has Production Managed, Tour Managed, Stage Managed and Site Co-ordinated on extensive and complex international music tours ranging in size from theaters to arenas to stadiums. From the early stages of planning, assembling staff, managing logistics, and being accountable for scheduling, budgets, personnel, accommodations, travel, accounting, security and equipment, A pioneer in the less traveled regions of the world, he has toured extensively in countries and regions including China, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, through South and Central America and all across Asia. He lives near Australia's Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsundays with the loves of his life, Karen and their son Hayden.
